Day 2
Alright
so day two of detox... must admit, I had a very very low moment today where I almost threw in the gloves and called this detox quits. but luckily, I managed to look past the delicious steak and cheese Subway subs which were being garfed down right in front of me, in front of my very own eyes... i stayed strong, I got home, and instead of the crap I had packed for lunch - opted for a banana and soy milk.
this morning I was running late for work, so I had to take my hot water and lemon and yoghurt with honey on the drive to work with me. I quite enjoyed driving and eating yoghurt at the same time, porcelain and all.
But tonight, for dinner was the real feast. Fed up with this shit, and absolutely starved, cuz nothing I can eat is all too appealing, I decided to really do it up.
So i made some brown basmati rice first cuz that shit takes 50 minutes to make. i made twice as much as i need because it lasts.
then I sliced up some onion, garlic, and green onion, in olive oil, sautteed. butterflied a chicken breast to make it feel bigger and increase the surface space for optimum frying potential, I then sprinkled some of the salt free ms. dash that I picked up, which is totally all natural. I sauteed everybody till they looked damn fine, and then tossed in some spinach and the greener parts of the green onion, with all the onions and chicken flavours, and piled the spinach on top of the chicken, and then topped that mofo with some goat cheese (my only saving grace), and popped thems fun in the oven. a few mins in there, and cheese was gooing up, perfect!
throw down some rice, top it off with the chicken.. and if i do say so myself, I think this will become a frequent meal these next few days!!
Now I will have some tea, perhaps some more yoghurt and honey, and work another three hours until it's time to go to bed.
another thing I must admit, is that I will be smoking the cheeb while doing this detox, which goes against my original plan...but truth be told, life's too good to be missing out on all the fun these days. Limiting my tastebuds is challenging enough right now.
